We comply with GDPR Article 9(2) — requiring explicit consent or lawful justification for processing special category data — and Illinois BIPA — requiring written consent and clear data handling policies.
Before collecting biometric data, we will notify you in writing about what data is collected and why, and obtain informed, written consent.
Biometric data is retained only as long as needed. Per BIPA, we will delete biometric identifiers within three (3) years of your last interaction, or sooner if the data is no longer necessary.
We use encrypted storage, role-based access controls, and secure deletion procedures.
We do not sell or disclose biometric data unless required by law, authorized in writing, or as part of a secured business transfer.
You may withdraw consent to biometric data collection at any time by emailing insights@ethereali.com with the subject line "Biometric Consent Withdrawal" and your full name. Processing will stop immediately, biometric data will be deleted within 30 days, and we will confirm deletion by email. Note: withdrawing consent may disable certain features such as biometric login.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. You'll be notified via email or in-app notices if changes are material. Continued use of our Services after updates indicates consent to the revised policy.
